Bradley Eugene Milner, 59 of Terre Haute passed away on Thursday, April 21st, 2022 at Union Hospital following a brief illness, with his family by his side. He was born on November 29, 1962 in Terre Haute, to Nellie Adams Milner and Ronald R. Milner.
Brad was a 1981 graduate of North Vigo High School. Following high school, he
obtained his stationery engineer license at Ivy Tech.
As a young man, Brad was the owner and operator of Hunter John Pizza on East Wabash
Avenue until the time it closed. He then became employed at Pillsbury Company in Terre Haute, and continued working with them until they closed their plant. At that time he went to Murfeesboro, Tennessee, as a consultant to set up a new Pillsbury Plant. Upon returning to Terre Haute, he became employed at Union Hospital, where he worked for twenty-seven years until he retired early from the power plant.
Brad loved spending time with his family and especially his grand children. He loved to
build model rockets and take the kids to the school yard to see how far in the air they would go. He was very good at designing and building things and did countless DIY projects over the years. He took a small three bedroom house and turned it into a very large home for his family. Upon moving to Northview Subdivision, he built a large garage to handle his collection of tools, cars, go carts and any other motorized items he accumulated. He especially loved his Chevelle SS. He loved spending time by the pool star gazing with a telescope and explaining to the grand kids about the stars and planets. His favorite pastime after he retired was watching cooking shows, after which he would tweak his cooking to reflect what he had learned. Brad loved grilling for family gatherings by the pool. Brad especially looked forward to their recurring vacations to Freeport, Grand Bahamas, where he enjoyed walking the beach and spending time with the islanders.
Brad married his childhood sweetheart, Sheila Rose Coverstone. Together they had four
children, Josey Johnson (Jeremy), Brett Milner, Justin Milner (Kodi) and Elizabeth Milner (Ryan). He was very proud of his grandchildren, Nicholas Milner, Elijah Crysell, Trinity Milner, Ryanne Milner, Jackson Totten and Carter Totten. Brad has one brother, Noel R. Milner (Joyce), and his mother, Nellie Milner. Brad has two cousins, Shelly Adams Durr and Andy Adams, two half siblings, Jennifer Kelley and David Milner. Brad had many cousins in Utah.
Brad was preceded in death by his father, Ronald R. Milner, his maternal grandparents,
Ralph and Dorothy Adams, and his paternal grandparents, Russell Milner and Erma Kelley; his aunt, Faye Maxine Lawrence and his aunt, Bea and uncle, Jesse Adams.
Brad was a wonderful father, grandfather, friend, and all around great guy. He will be
terribly missed by all who knew and loved him. He will especially be missed by his beloved dog, Boo Boo.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 o’clock p.m. until the time of the service at 6:00 p.m. on
Thursday, April 28, 2022. Pursuant to his desire, he will be cremated after his service. Pastor Jim Elliott will officiate services.
