Kevin had recently moved to Michigan to be with Audra and Corrina Joy. They met in Colorado and it was love at first sight. Kevin had a light in his eyes, a true sparkle, and if he got you going, you’d be laughing and laughing until you fell apart. He was silly, loved the DUDE, and became a lifelong Miami Dolphin fan after seeing “Ace Ventura Pet Detective”. Kevin always said that like his stepfather, he came to life with powers and abilities far above those of mortal man, and he truly did. And just like his heroes Spiderman, Superman, and his Nana, he never thought twice about lending a helping hand to a human or an animal.
Kevin was brilliant with children, just a big kid at heart himself, he could tap into whatever would bring out that childhood wonder. To hear the way he made kids laugh was magical, a ripple of Kevin that will continue for lifetimes. Kevin and Corrina had joyously spent the days swimming, visiting playgrounds, going to the movies, driving around in his truck “Totoro”, and most of all using their imaginations. Corrina will miss his disgust of pickles and tickle wars the most; moments of pure laughter.
Kevin was a Phish super fan. He and Audra traveled the country to attend Phish concerts. He knew every album, every song, and the entire history of not only Phish, but could answer almost any question about any other group, album, or song. He was a true lover of music and history and could rattle off fact after fact of both. Kevin was a voracious reader, loved sports and movies and could remember every game or movie he ever saw. He could ramble on for hours about something that lit him up with all the passion, wit, and charm he could get away with, as if his sweet smile and goofy grin weren’t enough to captivate you already. But the love Kevin was most fond of was his beloved Siberian Husky Izzy, and spending time with all or any of his family at the lake or on Anna Maria Island. We are grateful to each and every one and thank them for shaping him into the special superman he was to us.
