The Miami Dolphins said that wide receiver Grant DuBose is in stable condition and was being evaluated at a local hospital in Houston, after a head injury took him out of Sunday’s Week 15 matchup against the Houston Texans.  Further details of his injury were unclear as of press time.

The injury came in the third quarter with under 10 minutes left, when DuBose took a hard hit on a tackle after QB Tua Tagovailoa targeted him on a second-and-9 play over the middle of the field. As the pass reached DuBose, he was hit hard by Texans safety Calen Bullock Jr. with the ball falling incomplete as the second-year pro laid on the ground. The medical staff quickly attended to DuBose, and the game was stopped for a total of 12 minutes as they worked on him. The medial staff hooked him up to an IV on the field and eventually got him on a backboard and stretchered him off of the field.

The 23-year-old DuBose is in his second season in the NFL; coming into Week 15, DuBose has appeared in three games, catching one pass for 13 yards.
